The International Chair in Blockchain for Cybersecurity, ‘CyberChain’, coordinated by the Spanish National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE) and the BISITE Research Group of the University of Salamanca, will launch the course  “Blockchain  as  a  tool  for  the  creation  of  data  markets” on March 12, 2025. 

This free online training will be available on the e4you platform for those who wish to explore how Blockchain empowers users by enabling them to monetize their data. Within the framework of Industry 5.0, this technology facilitates control and participation in decentralized markets, transforming data into valuable assets. The course shows how Blockchain can create a more transparent and equitable ecosystem in which users manage and benefit from their information autonomously. 

The  objective  of  the  course  is  to  offer  a  complete  learning  experience,  where  students not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but can also apply it to  the  creation  of  practical  solutions.  The  content  is  structured  into  four  main  blocks, including a final prototype workshop: 

  • Block 1: Theoretical context: Industry 5.0 and data markets.
  • Block 2: Role of Blockchain in digital transformation
  • Block 3: Practical workshop: Blockchain-based prototype
  • Block 4: Future challenges and opportunities in data markets and Blockchain
